Should I go with the 2 tone colors?

Give it a try. You can always repaint it if it looks bad. 0%  0%  [ 0 ]

I am sending my 2000cs in for painting. I have been tossing around thoughts on what color to paint it for about a year now. I couldn't make up my mind... Silver or green... Green or silver... and then it hit me. Why not both? so here is my crazy idea. Teal green above the belt line and polaris silver below. I know that I'm going to catch hell from all the purists out there but the way I see it, it's just paint. What really intrigues me though is that I think that the silver on the bottom will break up what I see as a slab sidedness of the vehicle forward of the doors. On a 3.0cs this area is made more interesting with the addition of those beautiful vents. Plus, the front is slightly longer. On the 2000cs the proportions just seem wrong when compared with the 3.0. I'm hoping that the 2 tone effect will give the illusion that the front is horizontally longer by making the vertical dimension seem shorter. What do you all think?

I would not do it. I like the CS only in a few colours and this is white and blue. I would go with silver if it has to be one of the two.
But it is your car and it is so unique that everybody is goint to starr at it no matter what color. :D

Yes just like that except the green would have more blue in it. Hmmm. Do you have a side view? Thanks for the picture.

Following the rather underwhelming results of my poll, I decided to just do it. What do you think?

Wow, so you really DID it?

Well, it does not look so bad, after all :-)

It is only a pitty that the photos are so blurred. I know it, it is that when you take the pictures with the digital camera, they do not look good if you use the flash and if you do not use it, you can't simply hold it firm in your hands. I always try to put the camera on some solid object like a chair or press it against a wall or anything.

BTW: How moch body work was necessary? The car looks like new :-)

That looks great. My car is getting ready for paint and now I don't know what to do. Are there any more pictures, and have you had time to put it back together? I like the green one too. :)
